Your data

This page is for Aroha members (and former members) who want to see, correct, export, or erase their personal information. It works alongside our privacy policy, which explains what we collect and why.

1. In the app — the fastest way

• View & edit — everything on your profile (photos, bio, details, lifestyle answers) is yours to change anytime from the Me tab.
• Preferences — notifications, read receipts, and who you're looking for live in Settings.
• Pause — Settings → pause account hides you from discovery without deleting anything.
• Delete — Settings → delete account erases your account on the spot (details below).

2. Delete your account & data

You can delete your Aroha account and its associated data at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed:

• In the app — open Settings → delete account and confirm. This takes effect immediately.
• Without the app — email support@arohadating.com with the subject “DELETE MY ACCOUNT” from the email address on your account, or include the phone number you signed up with. We’ll verify it’s really you, then delete the account and confirm by reply.

What deletion removes: your account record, profile and photos, chats and messages, date plans, likes and passes, reports and blocks you filed, filters, safety contacts, and push tokens — all removed from the live database. Residual copies in encrypted backups age out on the backup provider’s schedule, and a record may be retained where the law requires it (for example, a safety report under investigation). Subscriptions are billed by the app stores — deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription, so cancel in your Google Play or App Store settings too.

3. Request a copy, correction, or anything else

For anything you can’t do in the app — a copy of your data (access/export), a correction we should make, or a question about what we hold — email support@arohadating.com with the subject “DATA REQUEST”. Include:

• the email address and/or phone number on your account, and
• what you’d like — view, export, correct, or delete.

We’ll verify the request comes from the account owner before acting on it, and respond within 30 days. These requests are free. Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), these are your legal rights — and we honour them for everyone, everywhere.

4. This website

arohadating.com itself collects nothing — no accounts, no analytics, no cookies — so there’s no website data to request. Everything above concerns the Aroha app.
